WELCOME TO THE HEIVA I TAHITI FESTIVAL (138th EDITION)
Te Fare Tauhiti Nui – Maison de la Culture has the pleasure to host and present this new Heiva i Tahiti festival. Since its creation in 1881, he changed his name, places but the magic of the event lasts and appeals to an ever growing audience and aficionados from all over the world.
Yet it is not the only proof of its success: indeed, for several years an ever-growing number of groups, in all categories participate in the Heiva i Tahiti festival. This 2018 festival, 41 talentedgroups will compete on the mythical To’atā stage.
Thousands of artists will show the vitality of our culture, language, traditions expressing them with grace and strength during several weeks, finalizing their craft: musicians refining their compositions, dancers restlessly rehearsing their steps and sequences, singers training their voices, while the costume designers are putting the final touches to the masterpieces that will enhance the interprets on stage.
