TEAHUPOO TAHITI SURFARI est une entreprise familiale née de notre passion pour Teahupoo et son surf.

Créée au départ pour répondre à une demande : surf pour les médias, très vite nous avons diversifié notre offre en proposant des excursions découverte de notre deuxième terrain de jeu favori : le “Fenua Aihere” et les falaises du “Pari”, cet partie de l’île très peu connue car difficilement accessible, protége une nature encore intacte.
Pour rester dans un esprit authentique, nous avons développé un concept unique proposant des excursions combinant ballade en bateau et découverte du littoral par la mer, moyen le plus simple pour apprécier tous les trésors cachés de Tahiti iti en une journée.
Ainsi chaque expérience est une vraie aventure, que vous optiez pour une sortie à l’heure, à la journée ou à la demi journée, votre taxi-boat vous fait découvrir Teahupoo et son environnement d’une manière encore jamais vue.

Pour se faire, Teahupoo Tahiti Surfari c’est une aventure encadrée par une équipe de 2 à 4 personnes, locale et originaire de Tahiti, professionnelle et habituée à naviguer et surfer.
– ​Bjarn, parmi les meilleurs pilotes du spot de surf et les premiers à faire découvrir cette vague aux professionnelles de la discipline, saura vous faire partager ses 30 années d’expérience au coeur de Teahupoo.
– Otilia, vous prépare le meilleur poisson cru au lait de coco de la presqu’île et vous accompagne pendant les balades à terre.
– Matahi, répond aux appels en renfort, le week-end participe aux sorties surf et vous offre des entrées dans les meilleures vagues de cet côte en devenant votre guide d’un jour. Matahi a 18 ans, titulaire d’un BNSSA et du PSE1 lui permettant ainsi d’encadrer les mises à l’eau.
– Cindy, pour vous servir !, titulaire du brevet de capitaine 200, du PSC1, elle vous fait découvrir le jardin dans lequel elle a grandit.

Teahupo’o Tahiti Surfari is a family venture,
founded through our love for our “fenua” (our homeland) and our passion for surfing. We launched our services and charters in 2011, to make the beauty and power of Teahupo’o accessible to the media. This exposure placed our “home break”, on the international map of world-class surfing. As world travellers came to embrace Teahupo’o, we then expanded our charters to share Tahiti Iti’s other hidden secrets .

Our expeditions begin at the “end of the road”, where we will explore those parts of the Tahitian peninsula in which mother nature remains untouched, as they are only accessible by boat! Uncover the richness of our “Fenua Aihere”, as we walk through lush forest to the caves of “Vaipoiri”, cruise below the cliffs of “Te Pari”, and swim in the crystal clear waters of the lagoon. During our austral winters, as southern hemispheric storms generate large swells in the South Pacific, you’ll be able to witness the phenomenon of Teahupo’o … one of the planet’s “heaviest” waves! The season (July – November) also brings humpback whales to our waters, who often take shelter along our barrier reefs and shore lines. Whatever the time of year, each experience is a true adventure!

Whether you opt for a one-hour, half-day, or full-day excursion, come experience the beauty of Tahiti Iti and the vibrance of our Polynesian culture through Tahitian eyes. With over 30 years of experience, Bjarn, is one of Teahupo’o’s most highly respected boat captains. He is known for his mastery in navigating French Polynesia’s south swells in even the most extreme conditions. Matahi brings his free spirit and passion for surf as an expert guide to Teahupo’o and Tahiti Iti’s other reef breaks during our “surfari” expeditions. Cindy, one of the very few women to hold a BC200 captain’s license in all of French Polynesia, shares with you her love for the ocean and respect for marine wildlife, and brings you to those special spots along the peninsula, which served as her childhood playground. For tourists and locals alike, you’ll get a true taste of the islands with Otilia’s “Ma’a Tahiti”, traditional Polynesian cuisine. Savor the natural sweetness of freshly squeezed coconut milk over ‘uru (breadfruit), taro, fresh-caught fish, and of course, the best “poisson cru” in Tahiti Iti!
